Dig Deeper

Wisdom says that the higher you want to ascend, the deeper you must dig in order to build your building, and support your work.

We know this from our everyday life, as we see tall buildings that have been built in proportion to their depth. Only then can the building have guarantees that it will withstand the storms and earthquakes; when it is grounded in proportion to its height and is well built on solid foundations.

This practical aspect of life reflects the deeper truth, which says that the better the foundation of our faith is, the better it is built on solid foundations, then the safer it will be in storms and earthquakes. And because storms and earthquakes usually exist in our lives, we must be sufficiently provident in order for our building to get through every difficulty.

Judgment and Mercy

One of the most topical and timeless issues of everyday life is injustice.

It is an element that is difficult to tolerate, especially when this injustice comes from high-ranking people, people with authority, who of course apply injustice not in the interest of others, but as a rule, in their own interest.

This indicates that our sensitivity to justice is dimmed and does not work properly, but it works either in favoritism or in an indifferent and unfair manner. The ultimate result, however, is the feeling of injustice, and when this injustice is accompanied by deeds, every reasonable person is dismantled, asking to stop injustice, restore order and return the law.

However, quite often, we too do wrong to others, either from ignorance or from a personal interest covered with a mantle of deliberate ignorance. Christ Himself puts this social behavior, which affects every person of everyday life, first in our life values.

“Society of Angels”

The circumstances of our lives, both today and in the past, have not always been easy or favorable.

From birth to death, man suffers from harsh trials; physical, mental, economic, social and emotional. In all these trials, everyone is called upon to arm and prepare themselves properly in order to deal with them successfully and overcome resistance and misgivings.

And since the trials and the harsh reality will certainly come, everyone is obliged to discover the tools and weapons that will be suitable for their personal needs, with which they will resist and eventually defeat any resistance. Because tools and weapons very according to our needs and abilities to use them.

And for every successful effort and conflict, proper preparation and practice is required to bend the resistance and to guarantee the success of one’s effort.

Effectiveness and Judgment

Work, result and judgment. This is our everyday life on all issues, simple or complex, great or insignificant.

We work and we strive, because we have a plan, small or big, short or long, and our plan includes, in all cases, an expected outcome, a profit, a benefit, a positive development in each of our cases. This happens both in our simple and complex thoughts, and it happens in our daily life and future plans as well.

We strive because we expect a good and positive result from effort, and not to be harmed and lose our achievements. Christ was absolute in these matters, and in every occasion He stressed the need not only to work but also to keep an eye on our situation, until we get the final result, which should be positive, stable, profitable and in synch with the purpose for which we strived.

Action and Inertia

As a rule, it is known and accepter that action produces work and inertia does not.

In our everyday life this is called success and failure and the first brings success and profit while the second one does not. These basic principles of our life are also used by Christ to give the message against inertia, and indifference for the things we have conquered, because we believe that we have is enough and it doesn’t require any more effort or action.

The search, the providence and the systematic organization of dealing with emergencies and unpredictable situations are, according to the Holy Bible, the core of God seeker’s lifestyles, the prerequisites for a fruitful and successful everyday life. But this is not an end in itself, but an instrument and method for a better and more effective tomorrow and future.
