All three of these words refer to a realistic rather than a theoretical state. I have tolerance in the actions of the other against me, I can endure insults and difficulties, but in any failure I have guilt because I did not achieve what I wanted.

I started well, but I failed, and my guilt spreads in my inner person, in my conscience, and brings frustration, brings regression and sadness.

And while I should have tolerance and resilience in healthy teaching so that every day my inner person grows up, and while I should be active and not idle, leveraging the power that I get from knowing my rights, in reality, I have surrendered unconditionally, and the only thing left in me is the feeling of failure, the guilt of inappropriateness, the guilt of losing something great, because I chose as my first priority insignificant things in my everyday life.

How long I endure, is apparent in my everyday life from my reactions. How strengthened is my inner person, is shown by the truths I say and by the lies I am not saying.

How much my faith in the living God is healthy and flourishing is proven by my good works that don’t concern only me, but also others who accept the beneficial presence of the resurrected and living God.

Xenios was an adjective used for the father of the gods of Olympus and was related to the hospitality offered by the residents to a stranger who arrived at their home. The stranger had to be accommodated, had to be given the necessary for his survival, but he could never acquire the rights of the proprietors, those who lived and were the owners of the house.

Rights of use and property rights could only be claimed by the owners and not the passers-by.

And this truth is of great value to us today, because the people of living faith must understand their rights. If you feel like a stranger or a visitor in the house of the living God, you cannot exercise your sovereign rights and you do what the others tell you to do.

You listen and obey because you are ignorant. You are a slave and a supporter of the will of others. The sovereignty of your body and your soul, your own freedom, has been neglected and questioned first by you, because of ignorance, and then by those who want you to be a slave and servant, deprived of your sovereign rights.

And unfortunately, the whole responsibility for discovering your sovereign rights in your soul and body belongs exclusively to you and no one can replace you. You have to seek, discover, practice and exploit. Those around you can help, but your bank account is yours and you are the sole responsible manager.

Globalization is the new social environment in which we are all called to live every day.

The world is now home to all of us, as images and sounds from the edge of the world come to life from countries and people that until a few decades ago we had never seen or heard them. So we must prepare to respond appropriately to the new challenges, in which we are called upon to survive and fulfill the purpose of our existence.

This is not a threat but a challenge.

This must not make us doubt our destination, but we must realize that Christ first opened our horizons and pointed out that our goal is not only the family, the close friendly environment, but the target and neighbors are the people who live away from us, even on the edge of the world.

The human and natural environment that our creator has set for us to live in, is immense, geographically and culturally boundless, and has supplied us with all the necessary supplies and all the survival abilities even at the edge of the world. Globalization is not to be feared, but it is a challenge to exploit the gifts of the creator in our everyday life.

Every time we drink we usually say “Cheers”. It is a historical phrase with the purpose of wishing that what we drink and what we eat contribute to our good health.

And this good habit is proof that the first thing everyone wants is their health, because everything else is inferior. This means that we prioritize the health status of our body, placing it above all other values, because we have the experience that if we are not well in our health, the rest of what we have are useless. This personal finding is the starting point to think about and the value of the health of our inner world, the soul and the spirit of a person.

And if for our perishable body we have more than just wishes to offer, like the experience and knowledge in choosing good foods that will contribute to our health, then we should definitely acquire knowledge and experience in choosing good foods that will contribute to the health of our inner person, and not remain to the wishes during feasts, a mentality that many people have; to live in wishes and expectations, without advancing our knowledge and experience of improving our inner person, the part of our personality that has value after the date of our burial.

The illiterate is neither deaf nor blind. He is the one who has not learned to write and read.

Since nowadays even the blind and the deaf are able to read and listen through the modern methods of communication (sign language, language of the blind), it is obvious that no one can justify their illiteracy, their ignorance of communicating. There is no strong justification for the ignorance I have about the issues of everyday life and consequently also for the ignorance I have about the issues of my inner life, the life of my inner world.

Since we can all hear, read, reflect, listen to other opinions, and judge what is best, we can all choose the best out of the good and not just the good from the evil. This is the big challenge today. Can I, since I know how to read and write, learn more about how to strengthen my inner person, so that I can do what I want, and not do what I do not want to?

The creator has put the supplies inside us, has put the skills within your DNA up front. To me and you, all that remains is the responsibility to activate these mechanisms and skills so that we cease to be illiterate, without knowledge of our worth, slaves and not our own masters.
