The concept of adequacy accompanies every practical aspect of our lives and states the existence of the necessary supplies and goods to achieve my goal; the sufficiency of goods and the sufficiency of all kinds of supplies to satisfy my future needs so that I do not find myself in deprivation and sin, that is, failure.

With this term of adequacy, Christ himself characterizes the parable of the ten virgins, that portion of the women who succeeded in entering the marriage simply because they had a sufficient supply of oil in their lamps.

The young virgins, not only have been struggling through the night to look for a store to buy oil, obviously at a higher price, but also have been ruled out in the most categorical manner of entering the fest. So when the ten started together, in the end, only those who had ensured the sufficiency and the excess of oil accomplished their goal.

The sin of the foolish was not moral but bad or non-existent calculation of the necessary supplies. The elements of indisputable love and the genuine interest they had for the bridegroom were not enough to open the entrance door of the new life.

Technological developments are an everyday phenomenon and we all adapt to the environment created by these developments. Electricity, electronic devices and all the machines we use are designed to make our lives easier, in order to deal with more complex life problems.

And there is no doubt that the most difficult problems are in the area of ​​our personal life and our conscience, our inner world and the fears of tomorrow, of the future, of life after death. Uncertainty kills, fear paralyzes us, and in these issues technology cannot give an answer.

The answer to these questions lies in our individual hands, lies within our minds and consciousness, lies within the beliefs and values ​​we cultivate every day, lies within the fruit of our personal labor for the values ​​that we judge to be the most important for life today, tomorrow and the unknown future.

In the parable of the talents, the slave who hid the talent was not frivolous, nor ignorant. He also knew the commercial value of the talent and his responsibility. For this reason he carefully guarded the talents, he hid the treasure his master had trusted him with. He did not just hide it, but dug a trench, a deep ditch, and put in the treasure there to be insured.

And indeed, it turned out that his appreciation was right, because no one could find and steal the hidden treasure. But he was not justified, not because he did not hide the treasure with due diligence – as it turned out he correctly assessed the risk of theft, but because the purpose of granting the treasure was not preservation but increase, the proliferation of the initial capital. Indeed, the description of the parable from the Evangelist Luke specifies that the treasure was given for trade, i.e. to enter the stock exchange and not the trench.

The tragic end of that servant, as described by the evangelists, forces us to turn to the exit towards the world of values ​​and not the safekeeping of God’s gifts.

Scientist is the one who knows a certain subject well. They know it in depth and are capable of handling the issues that are relevant to this subject.

The term “scientist” nowadays is tied to our everyday lives because all of us and for everything we look for the best scientist, especially in issues such as health, education, etc. And while the need for good scientists is obvious in our life when we come to the issues of living faith, we prefer our indifference, satisfied with the traditional notion of “believe and do not doubt “.

This, of course, results in the image that we all know in Greek society, where ignorance dominates, the fear of the things of faith is evident, people prefer going to the cafeteria instead of the church. And all these come from ignorance of our Creator’s gifts, from the notion that others have the responsibility, “they are blame and not me”.

And while in the practical things of life and the quest for wealth I am first, in search of the streets of truth I am on the rearguard and many times even in the opposite direction to reality.

“Fold” means turning something around itself, reducing its magnitude with whatever this implies in terms of its appearance and its content. The opposite is the concept of unfolding, that is, opening something, restoring its original size with whatever this implies in terms of its appearance of its content. Usually the folding refers to flat paper surfaces, older parchments or even to surfaces of other materials (fabrics, etc.).

In any case unfold means to reveal something gradually until I reach the desired approach of it. In this sense we unravel the secrets of nature through the observation with microscopes or the secrets of the universe through the observation with telescopes.

In the same way we unfold, explore, reveal, discover, establish the truths in our everyday life, and without this process of revelation through the opening and the approach of things, there is almost no progress, not only in science but also in the daily function of our lives. The unfolding, the revelation and the personal discovery of the truth of the living God is the basic principle of the operation of living faith.
