Alloy is called the material which comes from mixing various materials. This new material, the alloy, is precious to our lives because almost all the utensils and tools we use today are made of alloys of various materials.

What changes every time is the proportion of materials that are mixed in order to come up with the new material that will meet our needs. The ancient Greeks used the term for wine – there is a different term for “wine” in ancient and modern Greek – because in order to be suitable for use it had to be mixed with water in ceramic vessels, vases.

What is the difference between mixing and alloying? In the case of the alloy the blending is perfect, in the new product the materials became one and that’s how you see it. And this element, the definitive mixing of the element of living faith in the living God in our everyday life, is what we all need today.

Without a living faith that brings benefit and daily profit, our time, ideas, desires, our knowledge resemble gold that is hidden in the soil, unknown and untapped.

In chapter 14 the Evangelist Luke records a teaching of Christ about everyday life. In this teaching (verses 28 and beyond), he brings his listeners, and us today, in the harsh reality.

While the life of faith seems easy and wonderful, meaning, it is a life of miracles, Christ in a simple and comprehensible way explains that this is not the whole truth. Because before the miracles comes realism, comes logic, comes human crisis, comes the harsh reality. And the example he uses is surprising. That’s because he does not use an everyday example, but a rare and costly one.

And he does that precisely because he wants to emphasize on one hand the importance of faith, which can achieve great things, and on the other, the logic that must be applied by everyone who wants to succeed through the life of faith; because the basic precondition is the application of the principles laid down by the rule of faith.

So building a tower is a great and wonderful work, but to build it you must first have certain qualifications. Otherwise you just become a mockery and an example to avoid and not to imitate.

Our time can rightly be called the era of the internet, because every day, it is proved how useful a tool it is for each one of us. Through internet we are now talking, communicating, sending and receiving information, banking, closing tickets and in general, without even deciding it, a new experience has entered our everyday lives and it determines and dominates to a significant extent our daily lives.

This new reality has the effect of seeing and dealing with the world and our everyday issues through other capabilities, having ensured not only a better quality of life but also free time and a variety of opportunities, issues, that a few decades ago and since the beginning of the world, no one could imagine. While we have all entered the new age of the Internet, and while we use it as a tool every day, we do not do the same for the issues of faith, that is, we do not adapt our goals and processes to our daily lives on matters of faith.On the contrary, when given the opportunity we try to justify our lukewarm or indifferent attitude through incomprehensible images of the Old and New Testaments, ignoring the present reality.

The word “horizon”, by definition,  is a critical concept in our life, because it denotes the limits within which we essentially live and move.

And we all understand that the bigger our horizons are, the better our lives are, because we can predict better, we can explore farther, we are better prepared and we understand this from driving, since when we drive if we look far ahead of us we’ll be able to avoid an obstacle.

If not, then we are at risk because of lack of the time required to have the right reaction. The farther I see, the better I react, the more effective my life is. This is the characteristic of living faith in the living God. As my faith grows, the horizon of my everyday possibilities grows, because I can predict better, prepare myself to be safer, and not to be led by everyday changes that take place around me.

So, faith is a tool for a better life and not a barrier to a better life, as some stubborn people want to present it. The increase of faith is a personal obligation, it cannot be transferred, borrowed, replaced, and is not granted by any natural person to another. It is a completely personal matter and an individual responsibility.

We call “original” the elements on which all the other elements are based on. The letters of the alphabet are the original elements of the language and the numbers from zero to nine are the original elements of the arithmetic.

Without these data, there is no communication or numerical language for the exact determination of quantities. Therefore, we all understand that even in the questions of living faith, there are the corresponding initial elements, without which we cannot understand the continuity of things.

A sound and logical faith requires the exact knowledge of the Scriptures and without this knowledge there is no kind of evolution in the living faith that can produce results. An initial element of living faith is the complete and accurate knowledge of the Sacred Scriptures, and anyone who wants to proceed with the implementation and evaluation of the results found in fulfilling the instructions and teachings of Christ, can only do so with this resource.

The original elements of the words of Christ are the prerequisite for any development in living faith. Any diversion from this truth, it’s just a waste of time; it’s like smelling the dinner without taking part in eating it.
